SUSC is affiliated with Metro South East Sydney Area and SUSC membership includes registration with Swimming NSW and by affiliation, Swimming Australia.
Membership enables the swimmer to compete in District/ Area and Swimming NSW approved events/competitions, in addition to SUSC run activities. Club Championship Our carnival is run annually at our home pool, Sydney Uni in September. All Sydney Uni Swim Club members are eligible to compete.
Junior Excellence Program

Youth Performance Squad
The Australian Youth Performance Squad (YPS) is an exciting new initiative designed to reward swimmers aged 13-18 for their performances in the pool. The YPS is an extension of the Junior Excellence program which recognises and rewards 9-13 year olds. Similar to Junior Excellence, YPS rewards swimmers for achieving particular time standards set by Swimming Australia.
Club Awards
At the end of the year SUSC holds a presentation day and all members are eligible for club awards.
Speedo Shop
All SUSC members are entitled to receive 10% discount at the Speedo Shop (SOPAC).
SUSC Club Night
SUSC holds regular club night’s on a Saturday afternoon with warm-up commencing at 2.45 pm and racing starting at 3.15 pm. A social function is held afterwards, giving parents, carers and swimmers an opportunity to mix.
Sydney University Sport ‘Fun/Race’ Night: is generally held the first Friday night of each month. Warm up is at 4:30pm and the event commences at 5:00pm sharp. Club Social activities include:
• End of Season Beach BBQ with Race the Coach Competition
• Annual Christmas Party for members and family
• Club excursions and other fun activities

Intensive Stroke Clinics and week long Training Camps are held with the involvement of experienced high profile swimmers and coaches. Emphasis is on advanced stroke correction and race specific skills.
