Dolphins Suitable for young swimmers who are able to swim 100m of freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke and 25m butterfly. Emphasis is on increasing endurance and improving stroke technique. Competition skills are also gained. A ‘Dryland’ component, water safety, breathing skills and water awareness are an integral part of this program. Dolphins are run on a term basis |

Junior Fitness This squad caters for teenagers who can swim each of the 4 strokes. Emphasis is on fitness through a mix of endurance and speed sessions and incorporating drills to refine stroke technique. This is a non-competitive squad. |

Competitive Squads Competitive squads are run on a monthly basis and swimmers must be a member of the Sydney Uni Swim Club, please see timetable for costing |

Bronze Emphasis is on advanced stroke correction and improving competitive skills. Swimmers in this group are required to compete on a regular basis in club and district meets. A ‘Dryland’ component is an integral part of this program. Min.3 sessions a week |

Silver Silver squad is aimed at children who are competing regularly for the swim club and at Metro level. A Dryland competent is an integral part of this program. Min of 4 sessions per week is required. |

Gold Swimmers in this squad must compete on a regular basis for the Sydney University Swimming Club and must have reached State or National Age or Open level. The Age Coach must approve entry into this squad. A ‘Dryland’ component is an integral part of this program. Min. of five sessions per week is required. |

National Open This squad is for the elite swimmer. The Head Coach must approve entry into this squad. |

Aduldt Squad Participants must be competent in all four strokes. Focus to build up fitness and endurance. Sets are mostly freestyle based with other strokes for variety. Generally cover approx 2km each session depending on focus. The adult squad is run on a term basis in conjunction with the public school term |
